From Helsinki to everyday activism: How we’re using the trip in Denmark (3/4)
We’re back in Denmark just in time to vote in the municipal and regional elections.
Luckily, no jetlag! (Thanks, trains and ferries.) But we do have a folder full of ideas, footage, and notes for a vegan and plant-based world just waiting to be put to use.
The whole point of our trip to Finland was to boost youth activism back home in Denmark—for a greener Europe—and that’s exactly what we’re focused on sharing now.
We’ve learned an incredible amount from Viral vegans and agreed on effective ways to train the next generation of young leaders. We need many voices pushing for a plant-based transition.
Social Media Posts in the Coming Weeks
We’ll be sharing stories about our trip and insights throughout the year. Expect posts on:
plant-based innovation and activism—and why it matters
activism on a student budget
how young people can influence local decisions
everything we learned in Finland
We young volunteers are leading the process—editorial work, idea development, production, everything. We’re using materials from the trip, clips from our sessions, and short videos sharing key points.
It doesn’t feel like homework—it feels like building something that can truly inspire other young people.
See you on DA’s Instagram and Facebook!
Three Workshops—Three Cities—Three Communities
We’re also hosting three workshops in Copenhagen, Aarhus, and Odense.
And they’ll be pure DA: creative, political, cozy, and focused on giving other young people the experience that they can start something too.
We’re bringing what we learned in Finland—campaign tactics, conversation formats, small exercises—and applying them directly with you.
It feels powerful to stand in a room and teach others something you’ve just tested internationally.
Look forward to exciting workshops in January (postponed from December)!
The Digital Toolbox: Our Gift to Other Young People
At the end, we’ll compile everything into a digital toolbox designed to make it easy for other young people to start their own plant-based projects.
It will include:
guides and exercises
templates for social media posts and workshops
tips for traveling climate-friendly and organizing events
and short videos from us and our Finnish friends
The idea: If we’ve learned something that works—everyone should be able to use it.
Launching before the year ends—stay tuned for the next blog!
And what does this mean for us activists in DA?
Honestly: quite a lot.
We’re stronger now—both as a group and as individuals.
We’ve gained:
greater political confidence
more organizing tools
tons of inspiration for local campaigns
a Nordic network that will support us for years
so many Finnish snacks that we won’t need any more (this year)!
We’re grateful for the chance to learn from other young people in the Nordics.
It’s made us even more ready to fight for a greener, more plant-based Denmark—together with countless other young people. Because a revolution is needed.
