MINK EXEMPTION

About Mink
Mink are active, solitary predators that can never thrive in captivity. In the wild, they live alone and hold territories up to 2.5 km², which they don’t share with other adult mink. They are curious and resourceful animals with webbed feet, spending much of their time in water. These needs can never be met on mink farms.
Dear Ministers,
I write to express my deep outrage over the government’s decision to seek an exemption from the EU ban on mink farming enacted in July 2025. Restarting Denmark’s mink industry endangers public health and the environment, while disregarding animal rights and responsible use of public funds.
