Youth for a just world for animals - since 2008
Dyrenes Alliance a youth association founded in 2008 by a group of young people who wanted to make a difference for animals. Back then, we handed out thousands of flyers on the streets. We still do that, but now we can proudly acknowledge how much Dyrenes Alliance grown. Our association has developed into a larger, democratic association with 16 local associations across the country, which carry out bold and legal activism and run effective campaigns aimed at achieving concrete results.
As a youth organization, we are passionate about working for a better world for animals and the environment, while engaging young people for a just world for animals. Our activities range from targeted demonstrations and leaflet distribution, taster sessions and social events to film screenings, workshops and debate nights. Effective activism for animals
Many of our activities are about introducing Danish citizens to a greener and more animal-friendly lifestyle and teaching them that plant-based food doesn't have to be boring: Conversely, there are actually so many benefits to a vegan lifestyle. But we also run several different campaigns where the results can be measured directly.
Effective activism on a national level
We hold around 400 activities a year.
We inspire around 12,000 people every year to eat plant-based through our Vegan Challenge campaign.
We collaborate with national and international organizations to make the most effective difference.
We work with media, politicians, celebrities and canteens to spread the vegan lifestyle and plant-based diet.

Theory of Change: How to create change!
Our work at Dyrenes Alliance is driven by a clear vision: a world where all animals are free. Unfortunately, this will not happen overnight. That is why we have developed this visual tool, "Theory of Change," which provides an overview of our work and how we are bringing about change.
An overview of our theory of change
Our Theory of Change is not only about the individual activities we perform, but also about how they form a coherent strategy to reach our ultimate goal: animal liberation. We've illustrated the different stages we move through: from where we are now to where we want to be.
Theory of Change connects our resources - our committed members and activists, our financial contributions and our research - with our activities such as everyday activism, policy advocacy and the Vegan Challenge. These activities lead to concrete results, such as greater awareness of animal rights and veganism, policy changes and a wider acceptance of veganism. But our Theory of Change doesn't stop at our outputs. It outlines the long-term impact we want to see in society: namely improved conditions for animals, reduction in animal suffering, and ultimately, total animal liberation.
Every signature we collect, every member we educate, every flyer we distribute and every person we inspire to take the Vegan Challenge and go vegan is part of this bigger plan. We know that every action counts, and together these actions create waves of change that gradually build a more compassionate and just society.
What does our theory of change mean to you?
This visual overview is not only a good guideline for our work at Dyrenes Alliance. It is also an explanation for you. We want to be transparent about how we work and why we do what we do. And how we always work for animal rights and liberation.
When you support our organization, you're not just part of a single campaign or a single action. You are part of this bigger plan, a plan that aims for total animal liberation. You are helping to create waves of change that will gradually shape a society where all animals are treated with dignity and respect. Nationwide activism for animals
Since 2008, Dyrenes Alliance has Dyrenes Alliance to cover several different local areas in Denmark. Each local association has an active Facebook page where you can follow what is happening.
