Do you want to use social media and digital marketing to drive more people to take action for animals?

Dyrenes Alliance is looking for a part-time specialist to manage our social media and help turn digital interest into action.

We already have many followers who sign our campaigns, attend events, or otherwise show support for our work. Your job will be managing ongoing social media and growing participation, volunteerism, engagement, and memberships.

Your key responsibilities

Social Media, Events, and Volunteering

  • Plan, produce, and publish content on our social media channels.

  • Promote events, campaigns, and volunteer opportunities.

  • Attend relevant activities and events to capture photos, videos, and other content.

  • Find and coordinate volunteers who can capture images or video when you cannot attend.

  • Work closely with our Volunteer Coordinator on communication that recruits and activates volunteers.

  • Coordinate with our Volunteer Coordinator to identify key activities to generate content from.

  • Help local groups and volunteers increase turnout at relevant events.

  • Coordinate communications via Mailchimp, Typeform, SMS, and other channels.

Members and Supporters

  • Develop digital campaigns to recruit new members.

  • Communicate with current members about our work and impact.

  • Clearly show what their support makes possible.

  • Work on member recruitment through social media, email, and other digital channels.

From Interest to Action

A key part of the role is helping us improve how we activate those who’ve already shown interest in our work.

For example, we have a large base of people who’ve signed campaigns. How do we move them toward events, volunteering, memberships, or other support?

You will therefore work on:

  • CRM and segmentation.

  • Emails and automated flows.

  • Engagement and conversion flows.

  • Testing and optimizing messages and calls to action.

  • Tracking which efforts actually generate participants, volunteers, and members.

Who are we looking for?

You could be studying digital marketing, communications, marketing, e-commerce, or a related field. You may also already have relevant experience.

The most important thing is that you:

  • write well and can create engaging, action-driven communication

  • enjoy both planning and digital communication and occasionally attending real-world activities to capture and create great content

  • have a good understanding of social media, target audiences, and the journey from interest to action

  • are organized and able to manage several smaller projects at once

  • can work independently and bring ideas to life

  • are curious about data and what really works

  • can use AI competently, critically, and responsibly, and ensure the quality of the final result

Experience with CRM, email marketing, funnels, member recruitment, digital sales, or conversion optimization is a plus.

Experience with Mailchimp, Typeform, Meta platforms, or similar is also an advantage, but we don’t expect you to know all our systems from the start.

AI in our work

Dyrenes Alliance works AI-first. AI is a natural work tool, but professional decisions, quality, and responsibility always lie with the person in charge of the task.

In this role, you must have communication expertise to create strong external communication and use AI critically and responsibly. You must ensure accuracy in facts, tone, audience, credibility, DA’s voice and values, and the intended impact.

We judge work by the quality of results, context, and risk—not by the tool used.
