ABOUT THE FOOTAGE

All footage in the video Meet Your Meat shows Danish conditions. It comes from official disclosures by the Danish Environmental and Food Agency, TV news reports, and private recordings.

The vast majority of the footage is filmed in Denmark, but in a few cases due to filming rights we have had to use footage from other countries. In these cases, the footage reflects conditions identical to Danish practices and production methods. This includes gassing of pigs, chicken slaughter, and some cow slaughter sequences.

The farming industry has refused to grant permission for animal rights groups to use certain footage in Meet Your Meat. However, the footage is available from private users on YouTube, so we are able to show it here.

Were you outraged?

Join us in fighting for a world where animals are treated with true respect. For 15 years, we’ve campaigned to ban animal cruelty and ended many practices—such as dog, cat, fox, and seal fur production in Denmark, prohibited cosmetic animal testing in the EU, secured commitments from over 200 companies to the Code of Conduct, and removed elephants from circuses. fur-free list, fået elefanter ud af cirkus.

We’ve rallied hundreds of young advocates for animal rights and opened 16 local chapters across Denmark. Much of our current work targets banning farm industry practices and reducing Danes’ consumption of animal products through focused campaigns like VeganerUdfordringen. Together, we can make a difference—support us below.
